David why he thought he could
defeat the Giant. David told him all
about the Lion and the bear.
The king put his armor, shield, and
sword on David. They were big,
heavy and clunky. David just left all
the armor behind, because he never
used it before. It must have been
bulky and uncomfortable. HE JUST
DIDN’T LIKE IT!
The next morning, David got up
early. He prayed to God and went to
the valley where the Giant would be.
He walked down a path, and
crossed a brook. There, in the
water, he saw some smooth stones.
