would pass in front of Samuel, God
would tell him "No, not this one".
Seven sons were brought to Samuel
until there were no more in the
house. Samuel asked Jesse if he
had any other sons.
Jesse said he had one more, but
he was out watching sheep.
Jesse told Samuel that he was just
a small boy, but Samuel said to go
get him anyway. Jesse sent one of
his sons to go get David. David
came back home to meet Samuel.
God told Samuel that David would
be the one to someday rule over all
the land of Israel.
